Daily Walks in Scheveningen: 1 Playground, 1 Rose Garden, and 1 Outdoor Sculpture Museum

The playground
Since we need to get out of the house for fresh air daily with the kids, we typically do a search via satellite view for a playground near by. There were many so we picked the largest.
We walked to the park and passed many houses serving as embassies, and as expected their were kids from many cultures at the park.

My oldest two have no problem introducing themselves and starting games with new friends with every trip we make. It is one of the best parts of traveling with kids. Funny Bunny taught herself via Duolingo how to say "hi" ="hoi" and my name is…="Ik ben …"
The people watching is great at parks. You get parenting styles, kids playing styles, and the type of equipment reflects the country you are in. By far New Zealand had some of the most interesting but most dangerous equipment. (Usually with a beach in view) Here in the Netherlands there are slides three levels tall and a ton of see saws. Also a swing set with all the swings facing each other. It was really funny to watch kids jump off their swings trying to not hit each other.
The rose garden
We also have visited a rose park. Again, the planned public gardens are favorites to find and visit. In England last year, the rose garden was a place where I found a break from the city. We would have picnics or a rest on the way to a further destination like the library. The gardens here have beautiful open spaces lined with planned flower beds and ponds. The kids got in a game of hide and seek.

The statues
At the beach there is group of statues by the sea- beelden aan zee. They were made by Tom Otterness and they are loved by our kids. We walk down to the beach once Dinner is finished, grab an ice cream cone, and go see the statues.

The kiddos had fun imitating the art. We hope to find many more parks and have many new walks on the trip.
Remember to like and follow!

Dear Lord,
Thank You for creating the inspiring artists that make parks, gardens, and sculptures that enhance the beauty You have made. Through Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
